MEET PREVIEW: The Seawolves will wrap up the skiing season with the NCAAs this weekend ... a total of 74 men and 74 women will compete in the meet ... UAA is one of two teams to suit up 11 skiers (New Mexico), while four teams will bring the maximum 12 skiers to the championships (Colorado, Dartmouth, Denver and Utah) and Vermont brings 10 ... representing UAA on the women's Alpine team is freshmen Kayla Fry and Petra Gantnerova and two-time All-American, sophomore Alex Parker ... the men's Alpine team will only bring two skiers, freshman Andreas Adde and sophomore Halfdan Falkum-Hansen, who will be making his second NCAA appearance ... on the cross country trials, UAA will look to a trio of sophomores on the women's side with Jaime Bronga, Steffi Hiemer and Laura Rombach ... both Bronga and Rombach will be making their second career trip to the championships ... the men will be led by rookie Michael Schallinger, senior Tor Christopherson and All-American Lex Treinen.

UAA's NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS HISTORY: UAA has produced eight individual NCAA national champions, while claiming 26 top-10 team finishes since participating at its first National Championship meet in 1981 ... from 1985-2006, UAA posted 22 consecutive top-10 finishes ... the eight overall individual titles rank the Seawolves ninth all-time in the NCAA record books ... of the eight titles, six are Nordic and two are Alpine ... current assistant Nordic coach Mandy Kaempf earned UAA's last individual National titles by sweeping the women's 5k classical and 15k freestyle races in 2005 ... UAA's highest team finish at NCAAs is fourth-acquired in 2009 ... prior to last season, UAA's highest finish was fifth - accomplished three times (93, 97, 98) ... the 1997 squad produced a program-best three individual champions, tying for the third-most titles in a year all-time ... the Seawolves have sent athletes to Nationals every year since 1981.
INJURY REPORT: Both of UAA's senior Alpine skiers, Kristina Repcinova and Lacy Saugstad, have had their college careers come to an end due to season-ending knee injuries.
RMISA CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP: The Seawolves posted 16 season-best finishes at the conference championships for a program-best 2nd place team finish ... UAA registered 764 points behind Colorado (902), while New Mexico (725) completed the top three ... claiming podium positions was freshman Andreas Adde (1st, 1:56.44) in the giant slalom, freshman Michael Schallinger (2nd, 54:33.9) in the 20K freestyle and sophomore Halfdan Falkum-Hansen, who was third in both the GS (1:57.02) and the slalom (1:15.15) ... the women's team was led by third and fifth place finishes by sophomore Alex Parker in the GS (1;57.53) and slalom (1:21.46), respectively ... sophomore Laura Rombach was sixth in the 5K classical with a time of 17:09.4 ... after their performances at the meet, Falkum-Hansen and Parker received RMISA Skier of the Week honors.
