MONMOUTH, Ore. - Junior center Bell Jordan scored 24 points, but it wasn't enough to rescue the University of Alaska Anchorage women's basketball team from its fifth straight loss, 78-71 to Western Oregon at the New P.E. Building here Saturday.

Jordan's point total was a team season-high for UAA (2-5, 0-2 Pac West), while Western Oregon (4-1, 2-0) got double-figure scoring from all five starters. Guard Shannon Copple led the led for the Wolves with 19 points, eight assists and five steals.
