Mission Statement

University of Alaska Anchorage Sports Medicine supports the missions of the University and Department of Athletics by providing timely, efficient, effective, comprehensive and individualized health care based upon sound medical principles and best practices; practicing respectful, collaborative, patient led and patient focused health care; enhancing the student-athlete experience by advocating for a positive and healthy environment; promoting habits that support physical and mental well-being across the lifespan; operating in an ethical, compassionate, impartial and professional manner.
 

Vision Statement

The vision of University of Alaska Anchorage Sports Medicine is to stay true to our mission; preserve a cohesive and flourishing sports medicine staff; maintain and build upon strong foundational clinical reasoning and skills through varied evidence-based continuing education; engage with the local healthcare community and community at large; recruit and cultivate relationships for a multidisciplinary team of local healthcare providers; identify and collaborate with stakeholders in student-athlete well-being; promote the profession of athletic training; be a model program for the university, community and profession.
