FAIRBANKS - Senior guard Denise Perez scored a game-high 24 points to lead the University of Alaska Fairbanks over the UAA women's basketball team 69-48 at the Patty Center here tonight.

The season sweep for UAF (7-1, 3-1 Pac West) was its first ever against the Seawolves (2-7, 0-4). Dana Bottoms and Tiffany Massey led UAA with nine points apiece as the Seawolves lost their seventh straight game. Leading scorer Bell Jordan, who scored 22 points in last weekend's home loss to UAF, was held to just five as she was saddled with foul trouble all night.

The Seawolves are off for the holiday and return to action Jan. 4 against Central Washington. That game tips off at 7:05 p.m. at the Sports Center.
