POMONA, Calif. (Aug. 29) - Vanessa Tsukano tallied 14 kills, but it wasn't enough to prevent the University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team from dropping its third straight match, 15-4, 15-12, 12-15, 15-10, at the hands of Cal Poly-Pomona tonight.
UAA, which hit a season-low .040 in the match, fell to 2-3, while the Broncos improved to 2-0.
The Broncos also outdug the Seawolves, 71-59, marking the first time UAA has registered fewer digs than its opponent this year.
UAA takes on Cal State-San Bernardino in a regular-season non-conference match tomorrow at 6 p.m. ADT before heading to the Roadrunner Classic in Bakersfield, Calif., Sept. 1-2.
