BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Sept. 1) - Despite a strong effort in the first game, the University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team lost 15-12, 15-1, 15-7 to No. 14 Cal State-Los Angeles here at the Roadrunner Classic Volleyball Tournament today.

Brianne Halling led the Seawolves (2-5) with nine kills, as UAA outhit the Eagles .222 to .206 in the Game 1 loss. The Eagles (5-0) picked up the pace in Games 2 and 3, hitting above .400 in each frame.

L.A. outhit the Seawolves for the match .321 to .149 and outdug UAA 47-30.
