FAIRBANKS (Sept. 30) - The University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team suffered its third consecutive loss here Saturday night, falling 15-13, 15-13, 15-9 to Alaska Fairbanks at the Patty Center.
Senior Heather Riter led UAA with nine kills, while sophomore Brianne Halling and senior Latika Chandler chipped in with seven apiece for UAA (7-13, 3-1 Pac West). Stephanie Grindel led UAF (8-3, 3-1) with 15 kills.
The match did not count in the conference standings.
UAF outhit the Seawolves .146 to .058 and registered 59 digs to UAA's 47.
The Seawolves return to the court Tuesday night when they host Chaminade at 7:05 p.m. at the Sports Center.
