SEATTLE - Hot three-point shooting by Seattle Pacific helped the 19th-ranked Falcons down the University of Alaska Anchorage women's basketball team, 63-49 at Royal Brougham Pavilion tonight.
Senior Tiffany Massey led the Seawolves (3-9, 1-6 Pac West) with 14 points and nine rebounds, while senior forward Gus Balogh led the way for SPU (10-2, 5-2) with 22 points and five rebounds.
UAA senior center Dana Bottoms was the only other Seawolf to reach double-figures with 14 points and a game-high seven rebounds. Meanwhile, Massey shot 4-for-8 from the floor and 6-for-6 on free throws, but she was held to just two points in the second half.
The Falcons shot 8-for-16 on three-pointers, including 5-of-8 in the second half as they slowly pulled away after leading 28-24 at halftime.
