Interior play powers UAA to fourth straight victory

ANCHORAGE - The center duo of Bell Jordan and Dana Bottoms combined for 28 points to lead the University of Alaska Anchorage women's basketball team to 70-56 comeback victory over Western Oregon at the Sports Center tonight.

Jordan had 16 points and Bottoms 12 points and two blocks for UAA (7-11, 5-8 Pac West), which won its season-high fourth straight game. All-conference candidate Heather Laats led Western Oregon (10-8, 7-6) with 16 points and nine rebounds.

After trailing 23-13 nine minutes into the game, UAA went on a 10-2 run over the next four minutes to trail only 25-23. However, the Wolves were able to fend off the Seawolves and take a 33-29 lead into the locker room.
