UAA had a chance to win in the fourth game, but Western Washington fought off match point at 32-31 and served out the game for the win. The Vikings posted an impressive .500 (10 kills-1 error-18 atempts) hitting percentage in the fifth game as they led from the start.
UAA played without senior outside hitter Marise Knock, who missed the first start of her Seawolf career due to a severely bruised lower back.
