NAMPA, Idaho (Feb. 7) - Alysson Kollman led four Northwest Nazarene players in double figures with 16 points as the host Crusaders downed the UAA women's basketball team 93-67 here Thursday night.
Senior center Bell Jordan led UAA (5-16, 1-11 GNAC) with 25 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome hot-shooting NNU (10-10, 5-8), which shot 50.6 percent from the floor.
The Crusaders jumped out to early leads of 10-3 and 26-10 to put the game quickly out of reach. Kollmann shot 7 of 9 and had seven steals in only 19 minutes, while Alyssa Barnett, Whitney VanBrocklin and Karianne Oysted all came off the bench with 10 points for NNU.
Jordan was the only player in double figures for UAA, hitting 9 of 13 field goals and 7 of 10 free throws. It was her third straight double-double and her 11th of the season. The rest of the Seawolves combined to shoot 15 of 48 (31.3 percent) from the floor.
UAA next travels to Lacey, Wash., for a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game against Saint Martin's on Saturday at 4 p.m. AST.
