Seawolves drop finale, 80-55

ANCHORAGE (March 2) - Seattle University's Cal-Jean Lloyd scored 30 points to lead her team past UAA 80-55 in the women's basketball season finale at the Sports Center tonight.

Senior star Bell Jordan was impressive again, getting team-highs of 26 points and 11 rebounds in her final game for UAA (5-22, 1-17 GNAC). Lloyd shot 10 of 13 from the field and 9 of 10 from the free throw line for the Redhawks (13-16, 7-11).

Jordan, who transferred to UAA last season from Division I South Alabama, became just the fourth Seawolf woman ever to score 500 points and grab 250 rebounds in a season. She joins Eva Robinson, Debbie Clare and Heidi Alderman in that exclusive club.

The 6-2 Jordan shot 11 for 19 from the field, 4 for 4 on free throws and swatted a pair of Redhawk shots in 35 minutes. She and fellow seniors Diana Gundersen (6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists) and Stephanie Johnson (2 points, 3 rebounds) left to a standing ovation with 3 seconds remaining.

Freshman forward Jen Stoddard had another productive game with 12 points (6-10 FG) and nine rebounds, while fellow freshman Lindsay Behrends tallied three blocks.

For 2002-03, the Seawolves return six players, plus medical redshirt Sarah Larrabee.
