SEATTLE (Jan. 16) - Yusef Aziz led four Falcons in double figures with 20 points as host Seattle Pacific downed the UAA men's basketball team 86-68 at Royal Brougham Pavilion tonight.
UAA (6-8, 3-2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) got 19 points and seven rebounds from junior forward Peter Bullock, but the Seawolves fell behind early and had to play catch-up all night. SPU (7-6, 3-1) outrebounded UAA 43-31 and shot an impressive 60.4 percent from the field.
Adam Fitt-Chappell scored 13 points for UAA, while Bryson Vaughan dished a team-best five assists.
The Seawolves trailed 42-27 at halftime and fell behind by 23 points before pulling to within 62-51 with 8:41 to play. But the Falcons answered that run with a 9-0 streak of their own to seal the game.
