FAIRBANKS (Jan. 25) - The UAA men's basketball team fell behind early and couldn't overcome a hot-shooting Alaska Fairbanks squad, dropping a 78-55 Great Northwest Athletic Conference decision at the Patty Center today.
UAA (7-9, 4-3 GNAC) was led by Peter Bullock's 10 points, while UAF (12-4, 5-2) got a game-high 21 points from guard Brad Oleson.
The Seawolves trailed 13-1 before Bullock scored the team's first field goal seven minutes into the contest. UAA was down 34-15 at the half and never got closer in the second stanza.
Adam Fitt-Chappell scored eight points with four rebounds for UAA, which will try to get back on track Thursday when it hosts nationally ranked Humboldt State at the Sports Center (7:05 p.m.).
