ANCHORAGE (Nov. 23) - Peter Bullock scored 15 of his game-high 26 points at the free throw line Sunday to help the UAA men's basketball team to a 3-0 start with an 80-67 win over Hawaii Pacific in the AT&T Alascom Jamboree on Sunday.
Bullock also had 10 rebounds and two blocks as he earned the Jamboree's Most Outstanding Player award. Aaron Lawrence was the only other Seawolf in double-figures, with 10 points. Marvin Noble, who made the All-Jamboree Team along with Lawrence, led HPU (0-3) with 16 points.
The Seawolves took the lead 7-6 on an Adam Fitt-Chappell three-pointer three minutes into the game and never relinquished it.
The lead grew to 53-29 early in the second half before the Sea Warriors made a charge to narrow it to 67-57 with 8:12 remaining. But UAA answered on a Josh Evans putback and a three-pointer by Kemmy Burgess (9 points, 3 assists) to put it out or reach. Burgess made the All-Jamboree Team also.
The Seawolves, who outrebounded the visitors 41-29, recorded their first 3-0 start since 1997-98.
