ARCATA, Calif. (Feb. 27) - Peter Bullock scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, but the Seawolves shot just 36 percent as they dropped a 86-69 men's basketball decision to 7th-ranked Humboldt State at the Easy Gym tonight.
UAA (12-12, 9-6 GNAC) also got 12 points from Scott Stevens, while the Lumberjacks (22-3, 13-3) got 24 points from swingman Austin Nichols and 10 points, nine assists and eight steals from guard Jeremy Robinson.
Senior guard Cody Gallatin was the only other Seawolf in double-figures with 10 points, while Bryson Vaughan led the team with seven assists.
Bullock, who earned his 14th double-double of the season, shot 10 of 21 from the field, including 2 of 3 from three-point land before fouling out. Bullock was one of five Seawolves with four or more fouls as the Lumberjacks shot 32 free throws to nine for UAA.
The Lumberjacks, who also got 12 points and 10 rebounds from reigning Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year Fred Hooks, ran their nation-best home winning streak to 30 games.
The Seawolves conclude their road schedule Saturday when they take on Western Oregon (13-12, 6-10) in Monmouth, Ore. Tip-off is 6:30 p.m. AST.
