UAA Men stopped by WOU

MONMOUTH, Ore. (Mar. 1) - Peter Bullock had another solid effort, but it wasn't enough to save the UAA men's basketball team from a 71-64 loss to Western Oregon in the Seawolves' final road game of the season here tonight.

Bullock led UAA (12-13, 9-7 GNAC) with 23 points and 10 seven rebounds, while WOU (14-12, 7-10) was led by Robert Day's 23 points and six boards.

The Seawolves jumped to an early 23-16 lead before the Wolves finished the first half with a 20-3 spurt to take control. UAA cut the deficit to 61-55 on a pair of Bryson Vaughan free throws with 5:07 to play, but could get no closer.

Vaughan finished with 10 points, hitting all four of his free throws, and seven assists.

UAA closes its season next week with home games against Seattle University (Thur., Mar. 6) and Northwest Nazarene (Sat., Mar. 8). Both games tip at 7:05 p.m. AST at the UAA Sports Center.
