Seawolves fall to SPU in 3

SEATTLE (Oct. 1) - Little went right for the UAA volleyball team Friday night as it dropped a 30-25, 30-24, 30-19 decision to Great Northwest Athletic Conference rival Seattle Pacific at Royal Brougham Pavilion.

The Seawolves (9-6, 3-4 GNAC) suffered their most lopsided defeat of the season at the hands of the Falcons (7-7, 3-3), who were led by 10 kills from Chelsey Myers.

UAA got eight kills apiece from Carolyn DeKay and Jenny Mitchell, but was held to just .095 hitting. Rachael Knecht led the team with 15 digs, and Diana Gordon had 13, but there were few highlights for the Seawolves, who have now lost four of their last five matches.

UAA next travels to Bellingham, Wash., for a Saturday showdown against 21st-ranked Western Washington (6 p.m. AST).
