ANCHORAGE -- Outside hitter Lauren Quach had 15 kills and 12 digs to help Notre Dame de Namur to a 30-13, 30-11, 30-18 sweep of LaGrange in the final match of round-robin play here Saturday at the Extended Stay Deluxe Invitational.
Val Adams had nine kills for NDNU (4-5), while setter Jennifer McMurtry had 22 assists and five aces. LaGrange (0-3) was led by Kiley Kirkpatrick's six kills.
NDNU finishes round-robin play in a three-way tie with host Alaska Anchorage and Briar Cliff, but the Argonauts lost out on the tiebreaker and must play LaGrange again in the consolation match at 5 p.m. UAA and Briar Cliff will meet for the title at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.
