MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin completed a weekend sweep over Alaska Anchorage by skating to a 3-1 home ice victory here tonight in front of 15,237 fans at the Kohl Center.
The Seawolves (11-16-3, 7-16-1 WCHA), who are winless in their last five league tilts, were held scoreless on the power play for the third straight game at 0-for-4.
Wisconsin (13-15-2, 10-11-1 WCHA) recieved goals from Davis Drewiske (14:40, 2nd), Tom Gorowsky (19:45, 2nd) and Jamie McBain (3:52, 3rd), while goalie Brian Elliott recorded 24 saves for his 10th win of the season.
Senior Justin Bourne tallied UAA's lone goal at the 10:41 mark of the final period, while freshman defenseman Trevor Hunt picked up his first collegiate point with the assist. The goal, Bourne's first since his overtime game winner at Colorado College Dec. 8, raised his team-leading point total to 28 (9g, 19a).
Junior goalie Nathan Lawson recorded 33 saves, including a game-high 14 in the final frame.
UAA, who held a 13-8 advantage in shots through the first 20 minutes, were held to just 12 shot attempts the remainder of the game.
The Badgers posted 36 shots on net, while going 1-of-6 on the power play.
The Seawolves skated the final 2:15 of regulation with an extra attacker, but were unable to score.
UAA hosts Minnesota State in its final regular-season home series next weekend at the Sullivan Arena.
