UAF outlasts Walla Walla

ANCHORAGE – Jarrett Miller scored 20 points and Boe Edwards played a sound all-around game Saturday to lift Alaska Fairbanks to an 83-62 men's basketball victory over Walla Walla in the AT&T Jamboree at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.

The Nanooks (3-3) got nine points, nine rebounds, eight assists and five steals from Edwards, a 6-3 junior guard, while fellow starters Parrish West and Adrese Lavern tallied 18 points and five assists apiece.

The Wolves (0-15) were led by 23 points from sophomore guard Tristan Greenidge in the loss.

Center Brett Barkman was the fourth Nanook in double figures with 12 points and added nine rebounds, three assists and four blocks.

UAF plays Florida Tech in another Jamboree game here Sunday at 3 p.m., while Walla Walla will face host Alaska Anchorage in the event's final contest Sunday at 5 p.m.
