TEAM NOTES: UAA has stretched its regular-season win streak to 11, having won the last seven games last year before losing in the GNAC Tournament … the Seawolves set four program records and one GNAC record on their trip to the 50th state, starting with the marks for most first-half points in a road game (56) and steals in a road game (25) in the second game against BYUH … at Chaminade, UAA's 66 rebounds represented the most in a Seawolf road game and against a Div. II opponent, as well as breaking the GNAC record of 65 that had stood for seven years (Saint Martins vs UH-Hilo, 11/30/06) … with all 10 teams playing at least two games now, the Seawolves lead the GNAC in scoring at 94.2 points per game … UAA is also allowing just 53.5 points per contest, while outrebounding its opponents by nearly 12 boards per game.

PLAYER NOTES: UAA's only 4th-year player, Sr. F Kylie Burns is providing a steady presence for a young squad, averaging 8.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game … the Kansas City, Kan., native and Preseason All-GNAC selection grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds in UAA's win over Chaminade, reaching double digits for the fifth time in her career … in Hawaii, Burns became the 39th player in UAA history to reach 500 points, while she ranks 27th in rebounds (337), 10th in FT% (.746), 15th in 3FGs made (72) and 9th in victories (74) … Burns was an all-tourney selection at last year's Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout … Jr. G/F Alli Madison has emerged as UAA's leading scorer with 18.3 ppg, boosted by consecutive career-highs of 20 points at BYU-Hawaii and 21 at Chaminade … after being limited to just 31 total games her first two seasons due to injuries, the Seattle (Kennedy HS) product is connecting at a .444 clip from the floor, including 4-for-10 on 3FGs … Madison is also getting to the FT line, where she is 21 of 24 (.875), and is third in the team with 2.8 spg … Fr. PG Kiki Robertson has made a splash in her first four collegiate games with gaudy averages of 13.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 8.0 apg and 5.0 spg, while shooting .500 (20-40) from the floor … the Honolulu product has already posted a pair of double-doubles — in both points/assists and points/rebounds — and scored a team season-best 23 points in the win over Chaminade … Robertson has tallied at least 9 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in all four games thus far … after scoring just 8 points in the season-opener against WNMU, So. G Jessica Madison found her shooting touch in Hawaii, netting 44 points in the three games on .586 FG shooting (5-10 3FGs) … the reigning GNAC Freshman of the Year is one of five Seawolves back from last year's 17-10 club that tied for 3rd place in the GNAC … another key returner, So. G Jenna Buchanan got back in act with 4 points on 2-of-2 shooting at Chaminade, seeing her first action of the year after breaking a finger in October … the Galena native averaged 7.6 ppg and 4.2 rpg as a rookie in 2012-13 … newcomer KeKe Wright grabbed 15 rebounds in her Seawolf debut against WNMU and already has a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds Nov. 16 at BYUH … the JC All-American at Gillette (Wyo.) College is shooting a team-best .545 from the field and second on the team with 3.0 spg … with double-figure scoring in all three Hawaii games, the Las Vegas (Canyon Springs HS) native is averaging a double-double with 10.8 ppg and 10.0 rpg … another JC post transfer, Jr. C Emily Craft is the third Seawolf shooting 50 percent or better, making 10 of 20 from the field so far … the Mountain View, Wyo. (Cent. Wyo. Coll.) product already has a pair of double-figure scoring efforts, including 14 points and 9 rebounds in the opener vs. WNMU … Craft also leads the team with 5 blocks … Fr. F Alysha Devine has proven ready for the collegiate level as well, netting a team-high 17 points in UAA's first win at BYUH, and barely missing a double-double with 9 points and 9 boards in the rematch … the former Wasilla HS all-state selection is also pulling down 5.5 rpg and has made 6 of 7 FTs.

McCARTHY IN CHARGE: The ninth head coach to roam the sidelines for UAA women's basketball, Ryan McCarthy beings his second season on the Seawolf bench in 2013-14 … formerly an assistant at GNAC rival Northwest Nazarene, McCarthy sports an 35-23 overall record as a head coach in two-plus seasons, having served in an interim capacity at NNU in 2011-12 … McCarthy is assisted by first-year coach Alex Carlson and 2nd-year graduate assistant coach Shaina Afoa.
