Rockets rally past Ramblers in semis, 82-74

ANCHORAGE – Point guard Stuckey Mosley paced a balanced Toledo attack Friday to help his team to an 82-74 victory over Loyola Chicago in the GCI Great Alaska Shootout semifinals at the Alaska Airlines Center.

The Rockets (4-1) got 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists from Mosley, plus 20 points from guard Jonathan Williams as they avenged a 69-62 road loss to same team from just six days earlier.

The Ramblers (4-2) got a game-high 21 points from reserve guard Ben Richardson, plus 15 points and five rebounds from forward Devon Turk.

Tied 25-25 at the half, Toledo took the advantage early in the second stanza and never relinquished it. The Mid-American Conference club used an 8-0 run to push its lead to 62-48 with 4 minutes remaining, and Loyola could never draw closer than six the rest of the way.

Toledo advances to Saturday's 8:30 p.m. title game – which will be shown live on CBS Sports Network – against either UNC Asheville or Middle Tennessee. Loyola will face the loser of the Asheville/Middle Tennessee game for third place at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
