Box Score ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Austin Azurdia and Eric Sinclair each scored for Alaska Anchorage in a 3-2 loss to Alaska Fairbanks in the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup Saturday.
Kylar Hope struck first for the Nanooks with his eighth goal of the season at 10:05 of the first.
Fairbanks capitalized on a 5-on-3 advantage for its second goal of the evening. Steven Jandric scored on a low-angle shot at 10:53 of the second.
Austin Azurdia got the Seawolves on the board with his team-leading eighth goal of the season. Azurdia scored with a high wrist shot over the glove of Anton Martinsson at 14:45.
James LaDouce scored the game-winner unassisted with a shot from the high slot at 3:31 of the third.
After a scrum in front of the net, Eric Sinclair put the puck away on the top shelf. He was assisted on the goal at 13:01 by the Renouf brothers, Jonah and Nathan.
Olivier Mantha made 29 saves for UAA.
UAF led 32-21 in shots. The Nanooks were 1-6 on the powerplay and the Seawolves were 0-4.
Alaska Anchorage (1-11-4, 1-6-3-3) will play at Bemidji State Dec. 15-16.
