Box Score BOWLING GREEN, OHIO – Adam Smith scored a goal and added two assists to lead No. 17 Bowling Green to a 6-2 win over Alaska Anchorage Friday.
The Falcons scored four goals in the opening period to lead 4-1 after 20 minutes.
Cameron Wright opened the scoring for BGSU at 6:43. Max Johnson and Brett D'Andrea added a pair of quick goals at 9:37 and 10:26.
Brody Claeys replaced Olivier Mantha in net for the Seawolves. Mantha finished with three saves.
Nathan Renouf scored the first Seawolf goal by redirecting a shot from David Trinkberger at 14:09. Trey deGraaf also assisted on the goal.
Mitch McLain tallied the final goal of the period at 18:12.
BGSU's Adam Smith scored the lone goal of the second period at 1:16.
Mason Anderson scored his second career goal at 4:48 of the third period with assists to Nicolas Erb-Ekholm and Joe Sofo.
Tyler Spezia completed the scoring with a goal at 15:38.
Brody Claeys finished with 25 saves on 28 shots in net for UAA.
The Falcons finished with a 34-19 edge in shots and was 1-for-3 on the powerplay. UAA finished 0-for-4 on the man-advantage.
Alaska Anchorage and Bowling Green will close out the weekend series Saturday.
