LACEY, Wash. – Junior outside hitter Vanessa Boyer led a dominant hitting effort with 14 kills Thursday to propel Alaska Anchorage to a 25-11, 26-28, 25-18, 25-11 volleyball victory over Saint Martin's at Marcus Pavilion.

Boyer also had two aces and three blocks, while the Seawolves (14-3, 7-2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) got 15 kills on .423 hitting from freshman Eve Stephens to secure their 21st straight win over SMU.

The Saints (2-13, 0-9) were led by 13 kills from Rachel Gondrezick as they suffered a 10th straight setback. “I'm happy that we took care of business, despite that hiccup in the second set,” said UAA head coach Chris Green. “Now we have the opportunity to refocus and get ready for an extremely challenging match Saturday at SPU.”

UAA dominated the overall stats with a .294 to .079 edge in hitting percentage, a 15-3 lead in aces and a 13-7 advantage in blocks. Sophomore Anjoilyn Vreeland had a career-high four aces as the Seawolves' total was five better than their previous best in 2018. Senior libero Taylor Noga led UAA with 15 digs, and freshman setter Ellen Floyd tallied 29 assists.

Senior outside hitter Chrisalyn Johnson recorded her 10th double-double this season and 35th of her career with 11 kills and 13 digs.
