Alaska Anchorage will host Alaska Fairbanks in its home opener this weekend in the first leg of the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup.

This weekend's series at the Seawolf Sports Complex, which is sold out, will be the first played on the UAA campus since the 1982-83 season. The Seawolves played on campus the first four years of the program and posted a 39-16-1 (.705) record.

Alaska Anchorage leads the all-time series with Alaska Fairbanks 92-67-12 and the series in Anchorage 49-26-7.
40th Anniversary
The 2019-20 season marks the 41st season for UAA hockey.
Class Production
Seniors and freshmen accounted for all of the scoring in Alaska Anchorage's season opening series at Maine. The senior class scored two points (one goal, one assist) and the freshman class tallied three points (one goal, two assists).
First Points
Three freshman tallied their first collegiate points in Maine.
Alex Frye scored the opening night thanks to assist from
Taylor Lantz. Saturday night,
Nick Wicks assisted on
Tomi Hiekkavirta's goal.
Most Shots
UAA recorded 38 shots in its overtime-loss at Maine, the most shots by the Seawolves since they fired 38 in a 3-3 tie to Alabama-Huntsville on Nov. 11, 2017.

This season, all 16 home games as well as the two road games at Alaska Fairbanks will be broadcast on CBS Sports 590 AM and 96.7 FM.
