Nick Wicks was named the WCHA Rookie of the Week after scoring two goals and one assist in the team's 4-0 win over Alaska Fairbanks. The last time a Seawolf scored two goals in a game was
Nicolas Erb-Ekholm against Alaska Fairbanks on Feb. 23, 2018. Wicks is currently tied for sixth in the nation with two power-play goals.
Three Assists
Tomi Hiekkavirta tallied three assists in the win over UAF. The last Seawolf to record three points in a game was
Jonah Renouf (also three assists) at Alabama Huntsville on Nov. 11, 2017. Tomi is tied for fifth nationally in points per game averaging 1.0.
Young Guys
The freshman class has dominated the scoring for UAA this season leading the team in goals (five), assists (six) and points (11). Freshmen scored four of the team's five goals last week against UAF.

Kristian Stead recorded his second career shutout after making 29 saves against UAF.

Last Time Out
Alaska Anchorage split last weekend's series with Alaska Fairbanks in the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup. UAF won the first game 2-1, and UAA won the second 4-0. The Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup will be decided in Fairbanks Feb. 28-29.
