Alex Frye scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season for Alaska Anchorage in a 4-1 loss at Michigan Tech Saturday.
Frye opened the scoring in the game when he scored on a rebound at 7:11 of the second period.
Taylor Lantz and
Rylee St. Onge assisted on the power-play goal.
The Huskies would take the lead later in the period after goals by Tyler Rockwell at 12:06 and a power-play tally by Trenton Bliss at 16:54.
MTU extended its lead with two more goals in the third period. Tommy Parrottino scored at 1:31, and Alec Broetzman scored on the powerplay at 16:16.
Michigan Tech finished the night 2-for-5 on the powerplay, and Alaska Anchorage was 1-for-2.
The Huskies led 43-22 in shots.
Kris Carlson made 39 saves for UAA.
Alaska Anchorage will take a break for the holidays before hosting Lake Superior State Jan. 4-5.
