BATTLING THE BOXERS: The Seawolves will play the third of five scheduled games this spring when they face host Pacific (Ore.) University on Thursday in the Portland suburb of Forest Grove … the NCAA Div. III Boxers, who play in the Northwest Conference, enter the game with a 2-2 record, splitting home-and-home series with league rivals George Fox and Linfield … UAA and Pacific will be playing for just the second time, following an 85-39 Seawolf victory in Anchorage on Dec. 20, 2014 … under the NCAA's discretionary exhibition rule, Thursday's game will count for the Seawolves but be an exhibition for the Boxers.
SO FAR, SO GOOD: The Seawolves overcame a pair of slow starts to earn road victories over NAIA programs Multnomah and Warner Pacific, in their first games, Mar. 22-23 in Portland, Ore. … in the opener, Sr. PG
Stephanie Jackson scored a career-high 17 points (7-12 FG), dished four assists without a turnover and picked up five steals as UAA drubbed the Lions, 94-55 … Jr. F
Kimani Fernandez tallied a career-high 13 points (6-6 FG) and grabbed six rebounds to spark a 24-2 run to end the first half, and Sr. F
Tennae Voliva had 14 points (7-9 FG) and 8 rebounds in the first-ever meeting between the programs … at WPU, So. G
Rachel Ingram poured in a career-high 26 points (8-11 3FG) as UAA tied the program record with 16 three-pointers and she came one shy of tying individual record in a 93-76 victory … Jackson added 15 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 3FG), five steals and a career-best nine assists, while Sr. F

Tennae Voliva is a returning honorable mention All-GNAC performer from 2019-20 after averaging 9.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.9 blocks and 2.0 steals per game as a junior … Voliva's six double-doubles last year were the most for a Seawolf since Alysa Horn had eight in 2012-13 … Sr. F

Jahnna Hajdukovich (6.0 ppg, 2.2 rpg, .378 3FG) are the Seawolves' other two returning starters … taking over as the starting point guard this season, Sr.
Stephanie Jackson surpassed her previous scoring high of 11 points in both games thus far, and her team-best 16.0 ppg is triple her average as a junior (5.2 ppg) … Jackson has dished 13 assists and grabbed 10 steals in the first two games, while committing just three turnovers; the former Santa Fe (Fla.) College transfer is also shooting .619 from the field, including 3 of 6 from long range … Langi is averaging 10.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg through two games, shooting .692 (9-13) from the field … Jr. F
Kimani Fernandez is thriving in her larger role thus far, averaging 8.5 ppg, a team-best 7.0 rpg and shooting .727 (8-11) from the floor.
THINGS TO KNOW: The five games this spring count for the Seawolves as far as statistics and overall record … this brief season is being played under the NCAA's COVID-19 exemption system, which is allowing teams to participate in competition outside each sport's regular playing seasons … all of the players on this year's team will retain their current season of eligibility for the 2021-22 campaign … UAA's final two games are scheduled for Apr. 16-17 at NAIA program Southern Oregon.
