Hawaii Pacific going 2-12 ... in 2019, both clubs were playoff contenders, as Chaminade went 22-8 (16-6, 3rd Pac West) and HPU went 19-11 (15-7, t-4th Pac West).

2021 SPRING RECAP: The Seawolves put together an 11-4 record in the 2020-21 spring campaign, which was played in March and April ... there was no NCAA Championship last season for Div. II volleyball ... UAA went 1-1 against nationally ranked teams, splitting a pair of matches with No. 25 Hawaii Hilo ... among the nine GNAC teams that played in the spring, UAA led the league with a .238 attack percentage and 1.96 aces per set, and was second in assists per set (11.54) and kills per set (12.89) … individually, Jr. RS

AVCA Second Team All-American and claimed her second straight
unanimous All-GNAC honor in 2019, following her GNAC Freshman of the Year award from 2018 ... Stephens led the GNAC in both kills and points per set in both 2019 and 2020-21, reaching the 1,000 career kills mark in the final match of the spring season ... Stephens recorded a team-high six double-doubles in just 15 matches in the spring to run her career total to 18, while on UAA's career lists she currently ranks 10th in kills (1,005), 3rd in kps (3.67), 7th in attack percentage (.288), 14th in block assists (205) and 17th in total blocks (219) ... a star in the classroom as well, Stephens was voted
CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 in 2019 with her GNAC-best 4.00 GPA in accounting.

Preseason All-GNAC selection ... in the 2019 GNAC stats, Floyd ranked 2nd with 10.14 assists per set and 5th with 0.42 aces per set, bettering her assist average to 10.65 aps in GNAC matches ... with two full seasons remaining, Floyd is on pace to break UAA's all-time assists and aces records, already standing 6th with 2,616 assists ... she is 4th in Seawolf history in assists average (9.34 aps), 3rd in aces per set (0.407) and tied for 8th in total aces (114).

Vera Pluharova continued her career-long improvement last spring and enters her fourth season as one of the top middle blockers in the West Region ... in her second year as a starter in 2019, Pluharova ranked 3rd in the GNAC and 21st nationally with 1.25 blocks per set ... the Czech recorded at least 6 kills on .300 hitting in seven matches that season, including 9 kills (.438) in the road sweep of Concordia and a career-high 11 kills (.474) in the 5-set win over UAF ... Pluharova ranks 5th on UAA's career list in blocks per set (1.13), plus 6th in block assists (300) and 8th in total blocks (333) ... the Seawolves are well stocked at the libero and DS positions again in 2021, with Jr.

Lisa Jaunet ... Blue and Kaapuni both saw valuable action in the spring, playing in all 15 matches ... Blue was second on the team in with 2.37 kps and hit a solid .205, while Kaapuni -- playing mostly as a middle blocker -- recorded numbers of 1.79 kps, .245 attack pct., and 0.69 bps ... Jaunet, meanwhile, comes north from State College of Florida, where she produced 301 career kills in 45 matches ... originally from St. Denis, France, she averaged 2.71 kps on .196 hitting in 2020-21, earning Second Team All- Suncoast Conference honors.

Chris Green (267-101, .726) has established himself as the most successful coach in program history and one of the top mentors in the NCAA Div. II ranks, earning his fifth
GNAC Coach of the Year award in 2019 ('09, '13, '15, '16) ... the 2016 AVCA D-II National Coach of the Year and 3-time AVCA D-II West Region Coach of the Year (2009, '15, '16), Green has led UAA to NCAA Tournament berths in eight of the last 10 full seasons, capturing No. 1 seeds in 2015 and 2016, and piloting the Seawolves to the national title match in 2016 ... in the 28 years before Green's arrival, the Seawolves made just two NCAA appearances ... UAA has won at a .779 clip (176-50) since the start of the 2013 campaign, including .828 (111-23) in league play ... Green's UAA teams have produced eight All-Americans, five GNAC Players of the Year, six GNAC Newcomers of the Year and five GNAC Freshmen of the Year ... hired in Feb. 2008 as the sixth coach in UAA Volleyball history, Green spent the previous nine seasons (1999-07) as the head coach at Western Nebraska Community College, where he built a powerhouse program ... among his list of accomplishments at WNCC were a 453-55 record, the 2007 NJCAA Div.
