Hockey hits the road

Alaska Anchorage will play its first road series of the season when they head to Colorado Springs, Colo. for a two-game series with Colorado College.   

Series
The Seawolves and Tigers have met 81 times previously. CC leads the all-time series 57-19-5 and a 37-5-0 mark in games played at CC. UAA scored twice in the third period for a come-from-behind 4-3 win at Sullivan Arena on Oct. 7th, 2018. 

Point Streak
Freshman William Gilson's collegiate career is off to a hot start. The native of Old Greenwich, Conn., scored his first career goal, the game-winner in fact, in UAA's season-opener against Western Michigan. Gilson followed up with an assist on UAA's lone goal Sunday against WMU. 

Man in Net
Joey Lamoureaux and Nolan Kent split time in net for UAA last weekend. Lamoureaux started the first game making 17 saves and allowing one goal before being replaced in the third period due to cramps. Kent finished the game with four saves and got the start the following night finishing with 31 saves and four goals against. 

Beating the Best
Alaska Anchorage's win last weekend against Western Michigan is the only win by an NCAA school against a ranked opponent this season. 

First Points
William Gilson, Max Helgeson, James Darby and Dylan Finlay each tallied their first collegiate point last weekend against Western Michigan. Gilson and Helgeson each scored their first goals, while Helgeson, Darby and Finlay recorded assists.
