Alaska Anchorage will open the 2023-24 regular season against UMass Lowell at the Avis Alaska Sports Complex Oct. 7-8. Puck drop is at 4:07 pm both nights. 

Series
Alaska Anchorage is on a three-game winning streak against UMass Lowell, including a road sweep of the Riverhawks (4-2, 3-2) last season. UAA is 7-5-0 all-time against UML, but is 3-4-0 against them at home. 

Season Openers
Alaska Anchorage is 1-3-1 in their last five season openers. The Seawolves won their season opener last season defeating Western Michigan 3-1. 

Two Goals
Matt Allen and Matt Kinash both scored two goals to lead UAA to a 7-2 win over Vancouver Island last week. Both Allen and Kinash started their college careers at UMass Lowell before transferring to Alaska Anchorage. 

Spread out the Scoring
Ten different players recorded at least one point in last week's win against VIU. 

Coast-to-Coast
Alaska Anchorage will play games in nine different states this season. 

Goalies
UAA rotated goalies last week against VIU with each playing one period. Jared Whale started and made two saves and allowed two goals. Joey Lamoreaux made two saves in the second, and Greg Ososz made five saves in the third.

Score First
UAA was 5-4-1 last season when it scored the first goal of the game and 3-13-0 when the opponent scored first. 

Saturday Success
Last season UAA was 6-7-0 on Saturday's and 2-17-0 on all other days.
