ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Timo Bakos scored two goals and added one assist to lead Lake Superior State to a 4-2 win over Alaska Anchorage Sunday.
Bakos scored the first goal for the Lakers less than four minutes into the game.
Sasha Teleguine scored right on the doorstep at 9:40 to push the LSSSU lead to 2-0.
The Seawolves took advantage of a 5-on-3 powerplay when Ryan Johnson scored his third goal of the weekend and fourth of the season at 13:03 of the first period.
Timo Bakos notched his second goal of the game on the powerplay at 7:47 of the second period.
Porter Schachle scored the first short-handed goal of the season for the Seawolves to cut the Laker lead to 3-2 at 4:19 of the third period. Max Helgeson recorded his second assist of the year, and Pavol Funtek tallied his first assist of the season on the goal.
John Herrington scored the second power-play goal of the game for the Lakers at 9:30 of the third period to conclude the games scoring.
LSSU finished 2-for-8 on the powerplay, and UAA was 1-for-3.
The Seawolves finished with a slight 19-18 edge in shots.
Tyler Krivtsov made 14 saves in his second start for UAA.
Alaska Anchorage will play at Wisconsin Nov. 29-30.
