Box Score MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. – Greg Orosz made 31 saves to earn his first career shutout for Alaska Anchorage who completed the weekend sweep at Lindenwood with a 3-0 win Saturday.
"I was really proud of our effort from everyone," said head coach Matt Shasby. "We committed to doing what it takes to win on the road. Greg Orosz gave us another solid performance, really happy for him to get his first shutout."
William Gilson finished with two assists in tonight's win to finish with five points (one goal, four assists) in the weekend series.
After a scoreless first period, Riley Thompson scored the first goal of the game, his fifth of the season, at 14:36 of the second period. Dylan Finlay and William Gilson assisted on the goal.
Matt Johnson, who scored his first goal of the season on Friday, followed up with his second goal of the season at 16:56 of the second period thanks to an assist from Gilson.
Dylan Finlay scored his first goal of the season, and his second point of the game, at 15:12 of the third period. Maximilion Helgeson and Ben Almquist assisted on the goal.
Almquist extended his point streak to five games with five points (1 goal, four assists).
UAA recorded a season-high 47 shots and held LU to 31.
The Seawolves finished 0-for-3 on the powerplay and held the Lions scoreless on their lone powerplay.
Alaska Anchorage will play their final road series of the season at Augustana Feb. 23-24.
