ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – University of Alaska Anchorage head hockey coach Matt Shasby announced that eight players have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Seawolves for the 2024-25 season.
Logan Acheson – Edmonton, Alberta/Bemidji State (NCAA)
Acheson, a 5-11, 178 lbs. defenseman, played two seasons at Bemidji State (2022-24) scoring two goals and three assists in 43 games. He played four seasons for the Spruce Grove Saints (2018-22) scoring 17 goals and 56 assists for 73 points in 138 games.
Tanner Edwards – Anchorage, Alaska/Minnesota State (NCAA)Edwards, a 6-1, 170 lbs. forward, played three seasons at Minnesota State (2021-24) scoring two goals and one assist in 21 games. The Mavericks won two CCHA Championships (2022, 2023) and made two NCAA Tournament Appearances, including a National Runner-Up finish in 2022. He scored 13 goals and 32 assists in 70 games for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs from 2017-19. Edwards played his final season of junior hockey with the Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) scoring 10 goals and 13 assists in 37 games. His father Jeff was a four-year letterwinner for the Seawolves (1994-98).
Nolan Gagnon – Metcalfe, Ontario/Amarillo Wranglers (NAHL)
Gagnon, a 5-10, 175 lbs. defenseman, recorded 43 points (8 goals, 35 assists) in 60 games for the Amarillo Wranglers in 2023-24. He played 120 games for the Cornwall Colts (CCHL) over three seasons (2019-23) scoring 11 goals and 58 assists.
Tyler Krivtsov - Santa Clarita, Calif./Fairbanks Ice Dogs (NAHL)
Krivtsov, a 6-2, 190 lbs, goalie, played in 69 games across two seasons for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs (NAHL). He carried a 3.00 goals against average and an .899 save percentage. Krivtsov finished with a 34-26-7 record with two shutouts.
Adam Parsons – Port Moody, British Columbia/Trail Smoke Eaters (BCHL)
Parsons, a 6-0, 170 lbs. forward, appeared in 164 games in three seasons (2021-24) for the Trail Smoke Eaters. He scored 32 goals and 40 assists for 72 points during his junior career.
Joey Potter – Pittsburgh, Pa./Union (NCAA)
Potter, a 5-10, 185 lbs. defenseman, recorded three assists in 21 games at Union during the 2023-24 season. He played in 63 games for the North Iowa Bulls (NAHL) (2021-23) scoring four goals and 25 assists. Potter played 45 games for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs (NAHL) in 2022-23 scoring seven goals and 34 assists.
William Schimek – Mendota Heights, Minn./Providence College (NCAA)
Schimek, a 6-2, 205 lbs. defenseman, recorded one assist in 20 games across two seasons at Providence College. He started his junior career in 2019-20 with the Grande Prairie Stampede (AJHL) scoring three goals and three assists in 38 games. He appeared in 42 games notching six assists for the Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) in 2020-21.
Ethan Warrener – Calgary, Alberta/Trail Smoke Eaters (BCHL)
Warrener, a 6-0, 182 lbs. defenseman, appeared in 136 games in three seasons (2021-24) for the Trail Smoke Eaters. He scored 15 goals and 37 assists for 52 career points.
