MIDWAY, UTAH – Derek Deuling finished ninth in the 7.5-kilometer classic races at the Utah Invitational Saturday.

The native of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory covered the course in 21:10.

Corbin Carpenter finished 14^th (21:28), and Erling Bjoernstad was 21^st (22:14).

Astrid Stav was the top-finisher for the UAA women finishing 13^th (24:20). Beth Granstrom was two seconds behind in 14^th.

Alexandra Otto finished 22^nd (24:41), Marit Flora 25^th (24:56) and Marlie Molinaro 26^th (24:59).

Utah swept the individual titles with Walker Hall winning the men's (19:45) and Erica Laven winning the women's (22:54).

Alaska Anchorage is currently fifth of nine teams with 112 points.

The Utah Invite continues Sunday with the 15-kilometer freestyle.
