MIDWAY, UTAH – Matt Seline and Derek Deuling finished eighth and ninth to lead the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team in the 15-kilometer freestyle races at the Utah Invite Sunday.

Seline finished in 34:52.6 and Deuling crossed the line in 34:52.9. Andreas Kirkeng of Denver and Joe Davies of Utah tied for the win with identical times of 34:39.5.

Corbin Carpenter was the third finisher for the UAA men placing 22^nd (37:13).

Beth Granstrom led the UAA women with a 12^th-place finish in 41:10, with Astrid Stav one-spot behind in 41:45.

Marit Flora finished 16^th in 42:22.

Alaska Anchorage will compete at the Montana State Invite Jan. 24-26.
