ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Matt Seline finished sixth in the men's 10-kilometer freestyle to lead the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team at the US National Championships/UAA Invite at Kincaid Park Thursday.
Seline posted the fourth-fastest second lap among RMISA skiers to finish with a time of 22:10.
Corbin Carpenter skied a strong race to finish 11th (22:27), and Garrett Siever was 17th (22:48).
Peter Hinds placed 19th (22:53), and Matteus Sokulsky was 25th (23:24).
Marit Flora was the top finisher for the UAA women in her first collegiate race. The Anchorage, native placed 13th in 26:24.
She was followed closely by Beth Granstrom in 17th (26:38), and Marlie Molinaro 18th (26:47).
Alexandra Otto was 25th (28:06).
Alaska Anchorage is currently fifth in the team standings with 118 points.
Andreas Kirking of Denver won the men's race (21:24), and Kate Oldham of Montana State won the women's race (24:29).
The US National Championships continue with the classic sprints Saturday.
