BOZEMAN, MONT. – Derek Deuling finished ninth and Astrid Stav placed 10^th for the University of Alaska Anchorage at the MSU Invite Friday.

Derek Deuling covered the 20-kilometer freestyle race in 55:38.

Corbin Carpenter finished 11^th (55:39), and Peter Hinds was 12^th (56:00).

Astrid Stav was the first UAA women across the line in 1:04:57.

Beth Granstrom was 12^th (1:05:07).

Alexandra Otto and Marit Flora finished 18^th (1:06:56) and 19^th (1:07:13).

UAA is currently fourth in the team standings with 125 points.

The University of Utah swept the individual titles with Erica Laven winning the women's (1:01:08) and Joe Davies winning the men's race (52:34).

The MSU Invite continues Sunday with the 7.5-kilometer classic races.
