BOZEMAN, MONT. – Beth Granstrom of the University of Alaska Anchorage recorded the best finish of her collegiate career with a fourth-place finish in the 7.5-kilometer classic race at the MSU Invite Sunday.
Granstrom skied the third-fastest second loop of the day to finish in a time of 23:18.
Alexandra Otto finished 13th (24:16), and Marlie Molinaro was 15th (24:20).
Marit Flora crossed the line 19th (24:48), and Astrid Stav placed 21st (24:56).
Derek Deuling led three Seawolves to top-10 finishes in the men's race. Deuling finished sixth (19:53), followed by Erling Bjoernstad eighth (20:10) and Corbin Carpenter 10th (20:12).
Other finishes for the men included, Peter Hinds 18th (20:44), Garrett Siever 19th (20:48), Matt Seline 26th (21:06) and Parke Chapin 32nd (23:35).
The Seawolves finished fourth of nine teams.
The MSU Invite continues with the alpine races Feb. 3-4.
