KALAMAZOO, MICH. – Adam Parsons scored his first career goal for Alaska Anchorage in a 5-2 loss at No. 4 Western Michigan Saturday.
Owen Michaels opened the scoring with a tap-in goal 38 seconds into the contest.
Liam Valente scored back-to-back goals at 3:56 and 5:30 to give the Broncos a 3-0 lead.
Matt Johnson put the Seawolves on the board with a high shot from the slot at 16:58.
After a scoreless first period, Iiro Hakkarainen scored from the slot at 5:10 for Western Michigan.
Adam Parsons sent a backhander from his knees to notch his first career goal at 10:23 of the third period.
Owen Michaels, who opened the scoring, scored the final goal of the game with an empty-netter at 18:16.
The Broncos finished with a 41-14 edge in shots.
Tyler Krivtsov started the game allowing three goals on five shots. Greg Orosz made 34 saves on 35 shots in relief.
Alaska Anchorage will play at Niagra Jan. 10-11.
