PORTLAND, Ore. (Oct. 29) – Led by a 4.00 grade-point average from senior
Madison Galloway, the Alaska Anchorage volleyball team placed four student-athletes on the
Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, presented by Barnes & Noble College and announced Wednesday by the league office.
A psychology major from Pensacola, Fla., Galloway was one of just two GNAC players to maintain a perfect GPA while making the team for a third straight year. She was by joined by fellow three-time honoree
Tia Allen (Sr., 3.95, art) and two-time honoree
Bella Burney (Jr., 3.59, justice), along with first-time recipient
Hannah Trotter (So., 3.79, electrical engineering), extending a string of 10 straight years with at least four Seawolves making the academic team.
A total of 61 student-athletes qualified for this year's GNAC All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must carry a 3.20-plus overall GPA and be in at least their second year of competition at a GNAC institution.
