ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Max Hildebrand made 23 saves for Bemidji State in a 5-0 win over Alaska Anchorage Saturday.
The Beavers got on the scoreboard at 18:53 of the first period when a centering pass by Jake McLean deflected off a UAA player's stick and into the goal.
The BSU lead grew to 2-0 when Oliver Peer scored an unassisted short-handed goal at 11:39 of the second period.
Bemidji scored three goals in the third period as they out-shot Alaska Anchorage 37-23 in the game.
Both teams were scoreless on the powerplay with BSU finishing 0-for-5 and UAA 0-for-4.
Bryant Marks started his second career game in goal for the Seawolves finishing with 32 saves.
Alaska Anchorage will play at St. Cloud State Oct. 24-25.
