ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – University of Alaska Anchorage junior Joey Potter was named the NCAA Div. I Independent Schools Defender of the Month for October.

Potter, a native of Cranberry Township, Penn., scored two goals and assisted on the game-winning goal in a 4-3 overtime win at No. 6 Denver. Potter ranks tied for second on the team with three points (two goals, one assist).

Alaska Anchorage will play at Bentley Nov. 14-15.
