FAIRBANKS, ALASKA – Erling Bjoernstad led the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team with a third-place finish in the classic sprints at the Nanook Invite Sunday.

Peter Hinds and Garrett Siever joined Bjoernstad in the top-10 finishing seventh and ninth. Derek Deuling was 12^th.

Constance LaPointe paced the Seawolf women finishing ninth.

Astrid Stav was 10^th, followed by Marlie Molinaro 12^th, Beth Granstrom 13^th, Alexandra Otto 15^th and Marit Flora 18^th.

UAA is currently third out of six teams.

Erica Lauren of Utah won the women's race, and Andreas Kirking of Denver won the men's race.

The Nanook Invite concludes with the 10-kilometer freestyle Monday.
