FAIRBANKS, ALASKA – Derek Deuling finished 11th and Beth Granstrom was 12th to lead the University of Alaska Anchorage at the Nanook Invite Monday.
Deuling led four Seawolf men in the top-20 of the 10-kilometer freestyle race finishing 11th in 24:15.
Peter Hinds was 12th (24:21), Matt Seline tied for 13th (24:26) and Corbin Carpenter was 18th (24:47).
Beth Granstrom paced the UAA women finishing 12th (28:19).
Marlie Molinaro was 17th (28:39), Alexandra Otto 18th (28:39), Marit Flora 19th (28:43) and Astrid Stav 20th (28:49).
Alaska Anchorage finished fifth of six teams.
UAF won both individual titles with Ben Dahlby winning the men's (23:05) and Kendall Kramer winning the women's (25:57).
UAA will compete in the UAA Invite Feb. 19.
