ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage ski team had five top-10 finishes across four races Friday.
Ella Bromee was second (1:34.90), and Carmen Nielssen was seventh (1:36.37) in the women's slalom at the Seawolf Invite.
Jan Ronner led the men with a sixth place showing (1:30.20).
Murphy Kimball finished fifth (20:44.4) and Derek Deuling was 10th (20:55.5) in the 7.5-kilometer classic race at the RMISA Championships at Kincaid Park.
Corbin Carpenter finished 15th (21:03.5).
Beth Granstrom and Marlie Molinaro tied for 13th in the women's race in 24:10.2.
Marit Flora was 19th (24:26.1), and Astrid Stav was 20th (24:46.3).
Other finishes in the slalom race included Ainsley Proffit 13th (1:37.61), Caeden Carruthers 25th (1:34.53) and Hunter Eid 27th (1:36.22).
UAA finished tied for fourth out of nine teams at the Seawolf Invite.
UAA is currently fifth of nine teams at the RMISA Championships. The conference championships conclude Saturday with the slalom and 20-kilometer freestyle races.
