ANCHORAGE (Sept. 6) – Senior outside hitter
Tia Allen notched 14 kills on career-high .462 hitting Saturday to help the Alaska Anchorage volleyball team remain perfect with a 25-12, 25-12, 25-16 sweep of Minot State in the Seawolf Invitational finale at the Alaska Airlines Center.
The Seawolves (7-0) also got six kills on .417 hitting and five total blocks from all-tournament performer

The Beavers (0-4) were led by six kills apiece from Emily Willis and Katelyn Onespot-Danforth in the first-ever meeting between the programs.
"It took us a few points to get going, but I like the way we kept our focus and let our defense spark a strong offensive effort," said UAA head coach
Stacie Meisner, whose team forced 25 attack errors and committed just seven of its own. "Our upperclassmen have stepped nicely into their leadership roles through the first two weeks, and we're encouraged about how the newcomers are coming along."
After starting in a 7-4 hole in the opening set, UAA got consecutive kills from
Bella Burney and Allen (twice) to cap a 5-0 run. The Seawolves continued to pour it on, using a 21-5 surge to claim the lead.
Allen – who was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player – snapped a 9-9 tie in the second set with a kill, and added two more during a 9-0 run that made it 17-9.
UAA hit .312 in the third set, pulling away behind three kills apiece from Allen and fellow all-tournament selection
