Alpine skiers close busy week

ASPEN, COLO. – Dylan Timm finished 15th in the giant slalom to lead the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team at the CU Invite Thursday.

He finished in a time of 2:00.76.

Giorgio Baldo posted the fourth-fastest second run of the day to finish 18th (2:01.23). Carlo Cordone was 23rd (2:01.42).

Ainsley Proffit was the top finisher for the UAA women placing 20th (2:04.84). Olivia Carrier was 29th (2:09.26).

UAA is currently sixth out of 10 teams after four of eight races.

Johs Herland of Utah won the men's race in 1:57.99, and Louison Accanbray of Colorado won the women's race in 2:00.47.

Alaska Anchorage will compete in the 7.5-kilometer freestyle races at the Utah Invite Jan. 24th.
